Breezes carry the smell of pines and the clean aromas of deep forests and mountain streams. A unique folk culture developed in these southern Appalachian Mountains from the time the first pioneers moved into the region in the 1700s and todays visitors are offered a view into this rich craft tradition of quilting, carving, canning, music and dance.

Montgomery County

This site is a trail site on the Montgomery County Artisan Trail and a member of 'Round the Mountain Artisan Network. Shawsville Farmer's Market is open 1st and 3rd Thurs. 4-7 May - October. Meadowbrook Market open Mon-Fri 6 am - 8 pm. Sat. 7 am - 1 pm, Sun. 1-5 pm.

This market is a trail site on the Lonesome Pine Artisan Trail in Wise County and is a member of 'Round the Mountain Artisan Network. Open May-Oct: Sat 8am-12pm. Mid June - Sept: Wed 1pm-5pm.

Smyth County

The Marion Regional Farmers Market offers the best of the season, all season long! Locally-grown produce, fruits, canned goods, farm-fresh eggs, homemade baked goodies, grass-fed meats, handmade local crafts, local art, and so much more! Vendor fee is $10 per week, and setup is Saturday mornings from 7 til 8. All local farmers, backyard growers, artists and crafters welcome!
