Do you want to take home a piece of the mountains? Holston Mountain Artisans, a local crafts cooperative was organized in 1971 to present the highest quality handwork and educate the public about fine craftsmanship. From traditional crafts such as baskets and quilts to more contemporary pieces, the work of the artisans is sought after by local people and visitors. Frequent demonstrations by members bring the public in close contact with the artisans. Cooperative members volunteer to greet visitors and to answer questions about our items, our artisans, our history, and our area.
