My husband, Dwight and I also own and operate Pleasant Hill Farm. On the farm, I raise a large variety of cutting flowers and we offer outdoor farm weddings and barn receptions. Between making soaps and lotions and hosting weddings, we stay pretty active! I have been making a variety of soaps and lotions for over 20 years, after moving to Northern Virginia with my husband in 1993. There was a strong artisan presence in the region with many craft shows and festivals and they inspired me to find my niche in the handmade community.
After moving to Wythe County in 2003, I have become even more involved in the handcrafted community in this region. I am a juried member of both Holston Mountain Artisans, one of Virginia’s oldest artisan groups, and Heartwood, Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Gateway, one of the newest. My products are available in the gift shops of both organizations located in Abingdon, Virginia. My products are also available in other Virginia locations from the Manassas Battlefield Gift Shop, to the old courthouse gift shop in Independence.
