As the artisan economy of Southwest Virginia blossoms, so does the demand for locations where artists can create and retail their work. In Glade Spring, along Interstate 81, the Town Square Center for the Arts provides opportunities for artists to engage with art lovers as they work on, display, and sell their creations. Currently, TSCA houses several painters, Jonathan Davis and Theresa Crist, several potters, Lily Kusmick and Fiona Zahnke, and a stained-glass artist, Eileen Stoyanoff. Locals can take advantage of a variety of classes and workshops by both the resident and guest artists. TSCA is located in the charming, historic Glade Spring Town Square in a newly renovated "old bank building." The attractive, historic facility includes artist studios and workshop and retail space as well as a pottery facility complete with kiln, pottery wheels, slab roller, pug mill, raku and more.
