This living history museum depicts and 1840s farmstead in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. All of the structures are original and were found throughout the county. The Homeplace is a collection of authentic structures and artifacts that have been assembled here from their original locations throughout Scott County. Each building has been carefully taken down and reassembled on site. Items include quilts, pottery, brooms, weaving, candles, and soaps. Classes are offered in traditional crafts.
